This is part of the largest urban regeneration project in Europe and the largest regeneration investment in Greece, which includes luxury and high-rise residential buildings, arts, culture, hospitality, retail and modern commercial offices space. The project will substantially contribute to the repositioning of Athens as a world-class luxury destination. It also comprises an integrated urban development model that will combine the area’s natural beauty and unique inherent characteristics with landmark buildings and state-of-the-art infrastructure.
Key duties of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor role include:
Cost and Commercial Management:
- Preparation of budget estimates
- Assistance to Project Commercial teams in supporting individual project cost planning activities.
- Quantifies, values, and supports Commercial Manager to adjudicate claims/variation orders for additional cost.
- Assists with cost management functions as directed by the Commercial Manager contributing to the process of cost planning and estimation, change management, monthly / weekly cost reporting, payment review and certification etc.
- Production of monthly payment applications.
- Production of monthly payment recommendations for the project.
- Quantifies values and supports Commercial Director to adjudicate claims/variation orders for additional costs received from subcontractors/suppliers/vendors.
GMP Contractor Procurement:
- Reviewing Contractor sub-contract/supplier “open book” procurement submissions for completeness and correctness.
- Completing arithmetical checks on tenders returned and checking comparison report to the budgets set.
- Assisting with the finalization of the PMC approval recommendations put forward to the Employer for formal sign off
