Senior Wastewater Modellerin our Water Infrastructure team, you'll be at the intersection of analytical thinking, environmental engineering, client consultation and crafting solutions to real-world challenges.
This isn't just about building models - it's about building understanding. You'll transform raw client data into sophisticated hydraulic network models that reflect real world conditions and reveal insights about asset performance. When your models reveal discrepancies between theoretical function and actual operation, you'll engage directly with clients to investigate the "why" behind these differences, offering potential solutions and identifying the risks to their business.
Your work directly impacts critical decision-making by:
- Forecasting potential wastewater system shortfalls before they become problems
- Identifying strategic locations for infrastructure upgrades, including approximate costs and implementation staging of these.
- Determining optimal sizing for pipes, pumps and holding tanks
- Recommending operational changes to optimise existing asset efficiency
- Projecting long-term performance scenarios under various conditions or climatic variations
