  • Experience in leading teams and coordinating delivery of services both in the office and remotely
  • Strong writing and communication skills.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

We work in regions across the country, with team members based in four hubs in London, Manchester, Glasgow, and Birmingham. Your role as Data Anlytics Manager

In this pivotal role brand new role, you will lead the development and execution of data analytics strategies that go beyond tracking programme success. Your insights will be central to understanding and demonstrating the long-term impact we have on youth employability, social mobility, and inclusion. By working closely with internal teams, corporate partners, funders, and policy influencers, you will ensure that our data-driven approach is integral to decision-making, continuous improvement, and the scaling of our work.

The role will include several key responsibilities but are not limited to:

Responsibilities of the Data Analytics Manager

  1. Data Analysis & Reporting
    • Data, Systems & Processes: Lead the use of CRM and survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, MS Dynamics, Power BI) to ensure consistent, high-quality data capture and reliable reporting.
    • Dashboards & Reports: Oversee, create and maintain interactive dashboards and concise reports, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights that inform decisions for key stakeholders.
    • In Depth Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of programme metrics and audience segmentation (e.g., socioeconomic, geographic, health) to support strategic planning, outreach, and resource allocation.
    • Data Quality & Issue Resolution: Proactively identify data gaps, inconsistencies, or errors, collaborating with technical teams to resolve issues and implementing measures to maintain data integrity.
    • Stakeholder Insight: Provide data-driven insights and evidence to support grant applications, stakeholder communications, and advocacy efforts.
    • Capacity Building: Lead initiatives to improve data literacy across teams by delivering hands-on training, creating best-practice guides, and providing ongoing support to build a data-driven culture.
  2. Impact & Evaluation
    • Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Framework Design: Develop/refine monitoring & evaluation frameworks, including Theory of Change, that align with the Foundation’s long-term strategic objectives.
    • Data Collection & Management: Oversee the collection and management of both quantitative and qualitative data (surveys, interviews, workshops) while ensuring compliance with ethical standards, GDPR, and best practices.

  • Evaluation Delivery: Experience in leading data collection efforts (surveys, interviews, workshops) and analysing both qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate programme effectiveness.
  • Analysis & Reporting: Expertise in developing and presenting impact reports and data insights to senior leaders, funders, and stakeholders, turning data into compelling narratives that drive action.
  • Strategic & Operational Planning: Experience in delivering strategic and operational plans for data analytics and related areas, ensuring that analytics goals align with broader organisational objectives.
  • Accountability for Performance: Taking ownership of data-driven performance against agreed financial and programme targets, driving continuous improvement across analytics efforts.

Knowledge:

Skills and attributes for success

  • Expertise in Change Management: knowledge of relevant methodologies (e.g., Prosci, APMG) and tools, with the ability to tailor approaches to suit stakeholders
  • Agile: ability to flex style accordingly to influence a variety of senior stakeholders and develop strong relationships
  • Outcome oriented: Ability to take on an objective and transform it into a concrete plan, driving completion. Ability to operate calmly under pressure and manage competing priorities

You will be required to work closely with clients’ finance, tax and IT engineers. Working within the EY team you will be involved in the preparation of R&D claims and making sure of compliance against tax legislation. Within the Innovation team you will be exposed to cash grants and patent box applications. As well as working directly on existing projects, you will also be offered the chance to support business development opportunities.

Your key responsibilities

  • To work alongside teams working on the efficient preparation and successful delivery of R&D tax claims
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and provide high levels of client service, taking a leading role in interaction with clients' senior stakeholders
  • Build relationships both within the firm and externally with clients, identifying opportunities, managing client team stakeholders, and liaising with other client facing teams
  • Contribute to winning new work by proactively managing our existing clients base and contribute to winning new clients by contributing to business development activities.

  • Experienced in either wider Corporation Tax or R&D tax practitioner role
  • Team player; ability to integrate with new teams quickly
  • Outgoing with good relationship skills and the ability to deliver quality output
  • Strong technical skills and keen to develop further
  • Ability to identify areas of risk, carry out an effective review and know when to refer upwards
  • Relationship management skills with ability to manage client expectations and build effective relationships at all levels

Ideally, you’ll also

  • Fully qualified ACA/CA/ACCA/ATT/CTA
  • Strong Excel capability including use of XLOOKUP, IF functions and pivot tables, including manipulating large and complex datasets
  • Strong writing, communication and project management skills.
