

Manager to Director – Enterprise Risk – Risk Consulting

As a risk professional, you will be addressing client issues and transformations relating to Enterprise Risk Management (covering both business and IT risk), Internal Audit, Program Risk Management, process and controls design and effectiveness, and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) implementations. Our solutions can be used by our clients to build confidence and trust with their customers, the overall market and when required by regulation or contract.
Your key responsibilities
This is a role where no two days are the same – so you’ll find yourself taking on plenty of new responsibilities as you go. You will be responsible for managing multiple client engagement teams at an executive level within the practice and the firm. You’ll work alongside clients and colleagues, delivering our solutions and contributing to growing our business and developing our people. If you’re flexible and ready to adapt to a constantly changing environment, there’s no better place to develop your skills. Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior you will be a member of the team developing and implementing transactions. You will work closely with a diverse team of professionals to deliver high-quality tax advisory services, helping clients navigate the tax implications of their business transactions and achieve their strategic objectives.
Provide comprehensive tax advisory services to clients on M&A transactions, including due diligence, structuring, and post-transaction integration.
Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies for clients, considering both domestic and international tax implications.
Conduct in-depth research on tax laws and regulations, and analyze their impact on clients' transactions.
Prepare detailed tax reports, memos, and presentations for clients, clearly communicating complex tax concepts and recommendations.
Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work products.
Work collaboratively with other EY service lines, including Assurance, Consulting, and Strategy and Transactions, to provide integrated solutions to clients.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing exceptional client service.
Mentor and coach junior team members, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
Skills and attributes for success
Deep understanding of domestic and international tax laws and regulations, particularly those related to mergers and acquisitions.
Strong analytical skills to interpret complex tax issues and develop practical, tax-efficient solutions.
Proficiency in conducting thorough tax research using various tools and databases to stay updated on the latest tax developments.
Ability to prepare detailed and clear tax reports, memos, and presentations that effectively communicate complex tax concepts to clients.
Strong client service orientation with the ability to build and maintain effective client relationships, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex tax concepts clearly and concisely to clients and stakeholders.
Strong team player with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues across different service lines and geographies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant professional certification is a plus.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in tax advisory, with a focus on M&A transactions is a plus. Experience in a Big Four or similar professional services firm is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of domestic and international tax laws and regulations related to M&A transactions. Proficiency in tax research tools and software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax issues and provide practical solutions.
