Your key responsibilities

This position is a leading role in managing the compliance portfolio for all global, regional, and country-based assets and systems. As a compliance consultant dedicated to the EY Service Line and function, you will be both an individual contributor capable of supporting multiple projects and lead a team of compliance specialists focused on improving the risk posture of the Service Line or function. In other words, it is not just an oversight role, but one that requires detailed understanding of the Service Line, business drivers, key risks and issues, and can help strategize on risk reduction strategies based on analysis of compliance data and trends.

You will lead a team focusing on these pillars:

  • Risk Management and Reduction: Take ownership of the Portfolio or Service Line of security risk and compliance, engaging directly with key EY leaders to reduce risks by providing insights on top risks impacting the security posture of the businesses. Engage in compliance and risk-based investment planning to mitigate these risks effectively.

  • Trend Identification and Remediation: Identify security risk trends and themes that require a comprehensive approach to remediation. Lead and spearhead these efforts, ensuring that risks are mitigated in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Proactive Security Initiatives: Proactively seeking out and identifying security risks, weaknesses, and potential vulnerabilities in systems and processes before they can be exploited and independently stand-up initiatives to address them. Improve compliance with security standards and policies though continuous improvement and innovation in security practices.

  • Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) Management: Manage the end-to-end workflow of security compliance of risk findings in our Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tool to ensure continuity and compliance with security policies, standards and regulations.

And focus on the following responsibilities:

  • Define compliance strategies and remediation recommendations that provide pragmatic security guidance that balance business benefit and risks.

  • Develop appropriate risk treatment and mitigation options to address security risks identified during security reviews or audits.

Global Compliance - Assistant Director

As a Compliance Manager, you will lead multiple teams within one span, overseeing approximately 20 professionals in working with Global and Regional Compliance teams. This diverse group will consist of individuals from various service delivery areas, and you will be responsible for managing process quality, overseeing high-level process flows, and ensuring effective service delivery. You will play a crucial role in leading strategic projects across multiple locations, fostering collaboration, and driving performance against established KPIs.

Your key responsibilities

In the role you will be responsible for both managing process quality and people management.

You will be responsible for:

  • Lead and manage multiple teams within one span, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and risk management strategies.
  • Oversee and coordinate processes within Global Delivery Services (GDS) to ensure auditor independence and support audit teams effectively.
  • Foster strong relationships with global stakeholders and clients, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across various service locations.
  • Ensure comprehensive understanding of firm policies and processes, while being knowledgeable about other Quality and Risk Management areas.
  • Coach and mentor team members to foster professional development and enhance team performance.
  • Monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the teams and assigned region, analyzing progress and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Assist in strategic planning by gathering and analyzing relevant business, service, and operational metrics.
  • Be responsible for resources and financial planning to ensure optimal allocation of resources and budget management.
  • Ensure smooth, high-quality service delivery to stakeholders and clients through critical process control.
  • Prepare independence compliance reports and presentations for senior leadership.
  • Handle any other ad-hoc requests as required.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Highly developed verbal communication skills in English.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in a corporate environment, preferably in compliance, risk management or audit.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in leading multiple teams.
  • Additional qualifications and education in Compliance and Risk Management area is a plus.
  • Ability to lead strategic projects across locations and oversee high-level process flows.
  • Strong responsibility for service delivery and managing span KPIs.
  • Ability to work with senior management and global leadership effectively.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage workflow/priorities effectively.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, demonstrating responsiveness and commitment to quality.
  • Strong team player with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

As a Lead WAM Risk & Regulatory analyst you will work as a team lead in one of the projects for International Customer. You will be responsible for managing and delivering innovative solutions to the clients from Wealth & Asset Management sector, focusing on Luxembourg market.

Your key responsibilities

  • Risk Management Frameworks including governance arrangements, risk appetite, control frameworks, Risk MI & Reporting, Risk Management Culture
  • Compliance Target Operating Model including Compliance Monitoring
  • Regulatory Change programmes
  • Regulatory Due Diligence during transactions
  • Skilled Person Reviews
  • Review & Recommend reports on FCA Handbook rules
  • Investment Risk
  • Funds regulation in UK and Europe
  • Regulatory Reporting
  • Fund and legal entity authorisations

Skills and attributes for success

  • Knowledge and experience of Compliance and Risk Frameworks in Wealth & Asset Management
  • Business consulting experience, with excellent client liaison and communication skills as well as commercial awareness
  • Strong project management experience ideally relating to compliance and risk projects in WAM businesses
  • Ability to work in a client facing and consulting role, with the ability to build networks and relationships
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Ability to develop new business opportunities for WAM Regulatory & Risk to deliver
  • Knowledge of Alternatives as an asset class and experience of doing Risk and/or Compliance work in relation to Alternatives will be a helpful attribute.
  • Knowledge about and experience working with MIFID, EMIR and other regulatory frameworks will be an advantage.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Significant experience of working within a Wealth or Asset Managers’ Regulatory Risk / Compliance Team or experience of delivering these services for another Advisory firm
  • Experience working with financial and asset management regulations.
  • Strong academic background
  • Experience of managing and developing people

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience working with regulations like MIFID.
  • Experience working in the Asset Management industry as a manager.
  • Knowledge about risks related to financial instruments, alternative investments, fund management.
