Our indirect tax compliance professionals support large multinational clients with their indirect tax obligations in EMEIA and globally. Dealing with the indirect tax compliance requirements is the heart of the operations but this goes hand in hand with VAT advisory, data and technology support which we provide or coordinate with our specialist teams. Your key responsibilities

As a Senior Consultant, you will be working on a selection of clients where you are the “assistant VAT Controller” for the VAT/GST compliance outsourced to EY, including:

• Act as central point of contact – liaise with your international clients and colleagues with respect to European VAT and VAT compliance
• Monitoring, and giving feedback on, the quality of our client’s indirect tax data (using AI and other technologies) and reports of your clients
• Review and approve indirect tax returns
• Follow up on legislative changes and business changes in order to ensure that our client’s systems and/or processes are updated
• Identify issues and opportunities to continuously improve the VAT compliance processes and our client’s data
• Coordinate VAT compliance advisory, technology, controversy and audit support
• Coordinate with other VAT controllers and report to the client’s Process Owner at EY (Senior Manager or above)
• Supervise and coach junior team members

To qualify for the role, you must have

• A bachelor’s degree in economics, commerce or accounting, finance, computer science, science, information systems, engineering, or a related field
