As a Tax Manager, you'll see this first hand by being immersed in the evolving tax environment through preparing and auditing income tax provisions, assisting with income tax filings, consulting on planning opportunities, and coaching and developing staff on your engagement teams.
Your key responsibilities
You'll spend your time supporting client engagements by coordinating day-to-day interactions with clients, reviewing staff work product, driving delivery of services to meet deadlines, developing internal team members, and managing engagement economics. You'll continuously build on technical competence by keeping up to date on trends, developments and technical authorities and apply them to complex situations. Identifying and resolving tax technical issues and sharing insights to improve our efficiency will be a key component. In addition, you'll partner with other team members to help identify new opportunities to leverage to your clients across multiple service lines.

To qualify for the role you must have
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a graduate degree in Tax or Law and approximately five years of related work experience
- CPA certification or licensed attorney status
- A background in tax compliance and accounting for income tax and a broad understanding of US income taxation
- Experience managing budgets and projects
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access and data mining tools
- The ability to prioritize when working on multiple projects, and the confidence to engage and integrate directly into our clients' teams
- Willingness to travel as needed, and working in a balanced hybrid environment

L'opportunità e le tue responsabilità:

Your key responsibilities
As a manager in our real estate tax practice, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating US tax compliance and tax advisory work for clients. You will work on key client issues in US federal, international and state and local taxation with a focus on implementing tax strategies that align with the client's business objectives.
You will manage US tax compliance accounts for real estate funds and/or private equity funds. You will review and analyze extensive portfolio of investments and relevant financial data, make appropriate tax adjustments, and review various federal tax returns (Form 1065, Form 1120, Form 1120-REIT) as well as Schedule K-1 & K-3s packages for the investors. You will be responsible for reviewing partnership agreements and private placement memorandums for US tax implications of items such as book and tax allocations, management and incentive fees.

- Strong technical knowledge in the real estate tax area
- Ability to analyze financial statements for tax character and identify book-to-tax differences
- Ability to identify key tax technical issues and raise the appropriate questions before the work is sent for review to the partner or senior manager and consult accordingly when necessary
- Build impactful relationships with new and existing clients and maintain relationships with firm leadership
- Managing multiple work assignments and deadlines
- Managing budgets, projects and people
- Ability to teach or assist with firm in-house trainings

To qualify for the role you must have
- A Bachelor’s degree in an accounting, finance or a business discipline, and a minimum of 5 years of relevant tax experience; or an advanced degree in tax or law and a minimum of 4 years of relevant tax experience
- A CPA (or equivalent internationally recognized accounting designation), Enrolled Agent and/or LLM certification is required
- The ideal candidate would have experience serving clients in the real estate industry, which may include private equity funds, Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), Regulated Investment Companies (RICs) or other investment vehicles
- Broad exposure to federal income taxation as well as state and local tax

As a Tax Manager, you'll see this first hand by being immersed in the evolving tax environment through preparing and auditing income tax provisions, assisting with income tax filings, consulting on planning opportunities, and coaching and developing staff on your engagement teams.
Your key responsibilities
You'll spend your time supporting client engagements by coordinating day-to-day interactions with clients, reviewing staff work product, driving delivery of services to meet deadlines, developing internal team members, and managing engagement economics. You'll continuously build on technical competence by keeping up to date on trends, developments and technical authorities and apply them to complex situations. Identifying and resolving tax technical issues and sharing insights to improve our efficiency will be a key component. In addition, you'll partner with other team members to help identify new opportunities to leverage to your clients across multiple service lines.

To qualify for the role you must have
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a graduate degree in Tax or Law and approximately five years of related work experience
- CPA certification or licensed attorney status
- A background in tax compliance and accounting for income tax and a broad understanding of US income taxation
- Experience managing budgets and projects
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access and data mining tools
- The ability to prioritize when working on multiple projects, and the confidence to engage and integrate directly into our clients' teams
- Willingness to travel as needed, and working in a balanced hybrid environment

- Experience in coaching and mentoring junior colleagues
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $90,300 to $165,400. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $108,500 to $188,100. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
