Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Actuarial Senior managers are involved in the successful delivery and management of actuarial and multidisciplinary projects, including both the relationship with clients and the performance of the internal EY team.

We are looking for Senior Consultants to join our Dublin Financial Services Transfer Pricing team where you will have the opportunity to work across a range of clients that includes some of the most important global financial institutions. You will support and advise our clients on all transfer pricing matters, working closely with our international and corporate tax specialists across the EY network. You will also be a part of an integrated international network, made of all the foreign EY transfer pricing teams, to deliver real-time insights to our banking, insurance, leasing and asset management clients. You will also work in a collaborative environment where you’ll have the freedom to shape your career through our comprehensive development programs to help you be the best version of yourself, both inside and outside of work. Some of your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Advise and assist clients in designing, implementing, and documenting their transfer pricing policies and strategies.
  • Provide fully integrated approaches to transfer pricing, by preparing documents/data files/models and assist in defending transfer pricing reviews and audits based on economic Model financial outcomes of cross border arrangements and assist in developing practical planning approaches.
  • Assist in negotiating Advance Pricing Arrangements with Irish Revenue and other tax authorities.
    Support the project management of multiple engagements to ensure they are delivered timely and efficiently.
  • Work in a diverse and inclusive environment; Our team is made up of people from multiple countries, backgrounds and cultures.
    Assess client’s financial transactions including debt capacity analysis, interest rate benchmarking, financial guarantees, cash pooling arrangements, derivatives, insurance agreements and asset management services.
  • Conduct factual investigations (such as conducting functional interviews with key employees to gain a good understanding of the organizations and their business);
  • Advise on the transfer pricing aspects related to restructurings within business units (including their valuations); Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory updates, and best practices in financial transactions transfer pricing by actively participating in knowledge meetings, workshops, and other learning opportunities within the team.
  • Of course, you don't do this alone. You will work within a strong and well-established financial services tax practice, and you will be guided and supported by experienced transfer pricing specialists who will help you grow as a professional!

  • At least two years of experience in a strong transfer pricing practice.
  • Specific financial services sector knowledge is a plus.

The team adopts a methodical and collaborative approach with clients to jointly answer the key strategic questions they are faced with. Examples of the work you will be involved in include

  • Working with senior leaders at clients to help them develop their organisational strategy – including defining the organisation’s purpose, outlining its strategic objectives, identifying key customer segments, planning to enter new geographies, building new go-to-market approaches, mapping the capabilities required for success, and tracking performance
  • Delivering commercial due diligence to support M&A transactions, on both the buy-side and the sell-side
  • Conducting business development activities to win projects with potential clients
  • Developing a community within the team by building initiatives, writing thought leadership, getting involved in recruitment, and supporting internal team activities

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for proactive management of both compliance and advisory work for clients.
  • Assisting in the provision of advice to clients on a range of larger and/or multidisciplinary advisory projects.
  • Building and managing client relationships and providing high levels of client service.
  • Liaising with clients, Revenue Authorities and other external stakeholders.
  • Developing relationships within the firm to build a strong network.
  • Identifying and developing business opportunities to generate growth within the firm leveraging the latest technologies available.
  • Mentoring and developing more junior members of the team.

Skills And Attributes For Success

  • Demonstrate a high level of technical competence and keen ambition to develop further.
  • Client focused and commercially aware.
  • Practical / business driven approach.
  • Experience in managing a large compliance portfolio and the successful delivery of tax services to clients.
  • Excellent team leader and player - ability to integrate and build effective relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to leverage strong client relationships and professional networks.
  • Excellent communicator, both written and oral.
  • Project management skills, plan and prioritize work, meet deadlines.

To qualify for the role you must be

  • AITI qualified with 2 years’ relevant PQE.
  • Good working knowledge of Corporation Tax in Ireland or internationally.

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Accounting qualification would be desirable but not obligatory.
