As the Assistant Manager - Social Listening and Channel Management Specialist, you will contribute to growing EY GDS's global employer brand on digital media through impactful strategies combined with data and insights, robust media plans, build a strong advocate network, and guide in the development of creating compelling content.
This role will be pivotal in managing social media channels, driving performance insights, and supporting strategic decision-making through robust analytics and reporting. The ideal candidate will be passionate about digital storytelling, fluent in social media tools, and skilled at translating data into actionable insights. This role also involves working on projects along with global teams and their paid media agency partners to measure social media and campaign impact and translate them into timely reports as required.

This role combines strategic oversight and hands-on execution across analytics, reporting, and channel operations. The individual is responsible for building and maintaining dashboards on social listening tools, tracking key performance indicators and generating segmented reports that determine social media and campaign performance

Operational Excellence / Day to day responsibilities
Research and analysis of transaction tax related laws (such as domestic and international tax, corporate laws, SEBI, FEMA, Competition Act, stamp duty laws etc.) on inbound and outbound deals, corporate reorganizations, securities market aspects, etc.
Research on tax theory and positions, and apply them to specific client needs
Prepare deliverables capturing implications arrived on the basis of above research, in word, PowerPoint, excel or email form as required
Perform direct tax diligence (this involves scrutinizing past tax issues, record, compliance, etc. of the target) and capture the facts and analysis in a diligence report
Use and apply the right tax practice processes and tools to be as efficient as possible in your work
Be updated on latest developments and share articles on industry trends
Maintain and keep upto date records of internal documents / working papers
Preparing training presentation on recent regulatory developments.
Support knowledge sharing efforts and improve processes so that the work team can capture and leverage knowledge
Network internally within the peer group and other levels in the firm in order to gain understanding of issues that may impact issues with his clients
Ensure compliance with risk management strategies, plans and activities.
MIS: Follow up on billing, collection, etc.
Skills and attributes
To qualify for the role you must have
Qualification
A qualified Chartered accountant
2 – 3 years of post-qualification experience in M&A taxation matters and working knowledge of SEBI, FEMA and stamp duty laws
Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in transaction tax related laws

Your key responsibilities
Technical Excellence
• Building relationships with key corporate groups, lenders and financial sponsors, ARC’s, legal advisors and other participants in the stressed assets space
• Analyzing the financial and operational positioning of stressed corporates to proactively generate leads for opportunities
• Building a healthy pipeline of opportunities and mandates in the specific areas related to, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, debt restructuring across various sectors especially those witnessing high levels of stressed assets (infrastructure, metals, real estate, telecom, highways etc.)
• Coordinating pitch presentations to obtain new mandates from lenders and investors
• Lead execution of transactions including day to day management and Project management and monitoring a team of [Managers] and Associates
• Business Modeling and Plan Development and an ability to analyze and envisage new / key sector trends
• Financial Modeling and Analysis – developing materials including Information, Memorandum, financial model, presentations, resolution plans including preparation of rectification/restructuring/SDR package-based business plans.
• Coordinating and managing due diligence process in a transaction
• Work with legal advisor for finalization of transaction documentation including term sheets (non-binding / binding) and definitive transaction agreements
• Keep abreast of new developments in the profession, the business, the industry and the regulatory environment, including Insolvency regulation and developments in the restructuring space
• Credit monitoring of clients, review of operational and financial performance, cash flows, etc. to proactively suggest strategic options including JV / partnerships, acquisitions or divestitures
• Synergizing with lenders, restructuring agencies, auditors, LIEs, valuation agencies
• Coordinating and managing the financial, tax, commercial and operational due
diligence process in a transaction
• Provide inputs for group business plan and future direction of the practice
