Experienced Consultant – Transfer Pricing – Financial Services

Our Tax & Legal practice for financial services in Belgium is growing fast, and our team members are dealing with the most diverse tax and legal matters. We have a large client base of top banks, insurance companies, FinTechs and asset managers both in Belgium and abroad, who we enable to achieve tax certainty and compliance through a whole range of services:

• Business Tax Services, such as corporate tax, transaction tax (M&A, …)
• Customer tax transparency measures: FATCA, QI & CRS
• Indirect Taxes such as VAT & IPT (Insurance Premium Tax)
• International Tax Services and Transfer Pricing
• Operational Taxes (Withholding Taxes, Financial Transaction Taxes, Tax on stock exchange transactions
• Technology-enabled services (net asset tax and withholding tax automatic calculation and reporting, breakdown reporting for funds and investors)
• Tax Technology and Transformation services

Key Responsibilities

As an Experienced (Senior) Consultant in our Transfer Pricing team, you provide competent technical advice to key players in the Financial Services Industry on transfer pricing and related international tax issues. You will work directly with the executive team. You demonstrate a pro-active, client-oriented attitude and will be directly involved in identifying new business opportunities. Your main tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Advising major financial services clients in relation to (inter)national transfer pricing matters;
• Assist in dealing with highly complex transfer pricing issues on a daily basis and write high-quality opinions on a variety of international tax and transfer pricing related topics;
• Devise, direct, and execute database searches for companies in Europe and foreign markets;
• Assist in performing economic, financial and accounting analyses;
• Participate in development of complex valuation models and tools.
• Assist in the review and design of transfer pricing policies, including transfer pricing documentation/compliance;
• Provide support in tax audits and litigation together with the Transfer Pricing team;
• Provide assistance with respect to tax ruling requests and advance pricing agreements (“APA”) together with the Transfer Pricing team;
• Attend meetings on an international level with key-decision makers, to discuss the clients' business and tax needs;
• Play a key role in maintaining an excellent relationship with a variety of top-class financial services clients and assist in supporting such clients with any questions they might have;
• Participate in and contribute to attaining team goals;
• Have the opportunity to go on assignments abroad and/or accompany Executives on in-country visits to broaden your international network.

• Master’s degree in economics, potentially with an additional degree in taxation
• Between 2 - 5 years of professional experience in Transfer Pricing

What we are looking for

• You have 2 - 5 years of working experience within a consulting firm, industry, or governmental organization
• You have a degree in Data, AI or IT Engineering or in a strong relevant technical experience
• You have full working proficiency in Dutch and/or French and English
• Ability to effectively work across all phases of the project lifecycle
• Experience with LLM's, Advanced Machine Learning, AI and Data Engineering
• Very good knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and cloud-native AI services

Your key responsibilities

you support and (co-)lead project delivery teams improving our client’s business performance, in line with our Exceptional Client Service approach, while helping grow our practice outside of your client work. You will work independently as well as in teams. You will coach and support consultants and client team members, perform analyses and report finding and results. You will share your expertise with about 40 other colleagues in the Supply Chain & Operations team of EY Belgium. Our team focuses on delivering challenging projects across the entire supply chain. Typical projects are the creation of a supply chain strategy, network (re-)design, supply chain planning, logistics & distribution, sourcing & procurement, and manufacturing excellence.In addition, you’ll actively establish and strengthen the relationships with our regional and global Supply Chain leadership teams and take part in our international communities.

To qualify for the role you must have

• A master’s degree, preferably Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or Logistics
• Approximately 2-5 years of professional experience with a demonstrated track record of delivering sustained improvements in business performance, gained in industry and/or consulting
• You are passionate about Supply Chain planning and can rely on knowledge and experience in this field or one of the sub-fields (demand planning, forecasting, S&OP, IBP, EBP, DRP, Production Scheduling,…), you are also familiar with planning technologies
• Fluent written and spoken English, French and/or Dutch

Your key responsibilities

• 5-7years of consulting experience
• 2 real time projects on any finance functions with knowledge of technical solutions like Oracle ARCS, Trintech, BlackLine, Onestream
• Experience with finance functions – Record to report processes involving account reconciliations, Journals, Transaction matching, Variance analysis, intercompany etc.
• Knowledge on Financial Consolidation and Close, Cost Allocation and Finance Planning and Budgeting Processes
• Good Knowledge on ledger and sub-ledger systems; technical know-how of SAP ERP/HANA, Oracle GL (good to have)

• Good experience in Chart of accounts design
