Serves as a senior compliance risk analyst for Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) responsible for establishing internal strategies, policies, procedures, processes related to monitoring and fostering awareness of sanctions regulatory requirements that Citi must comply with; assessing related sanctions risk exposure, overseeing the quality of sanctions control processes and setting global standards to manage and mitigate those sanctions risks and protect the franchise. In addition, provides support for the collation of potential breaches of sanctions from across the firm and work with contacts in the Business and Compliance to ensure consistent and effective application and implementation of, and controls to evidence adherence to, relevant sanctions related global standards, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing comparative data, preparing and presenting regional and global reports related to sanctions risk assessments, and monitoring of sanctions related issues and escalations with senior management and global partners.
• Supporting a specialized team of Independent Compliance Risk (ICRM) officers responsible for program execution activities.
• Contributing to the design and maintenance of a comprehensive written ICRM Sanctions Framework (standards and policies).
• Partnering with functional partners and key stakeholders – regionally and globally, as applicable, to ensure potential risks are identified during due diligence, or escalated on an ad hoc basis, are appropriately vetted and addressed. Identifying and escalating to the Chief Sanctions Officer material risks and significant instances of not adherence to the Framework by accountable front line units; directs investigations in coordination with GIU, CSIS, Legal, HR, or as appropriate.
• Monitoring adherence to Citi’s Global Sanctions Policy and relevant procedures; staying current on key Sanctions regulatory changes, key enforcement actions and related industry trends.
• Overseeing adherence to procedures and processes, to ensure compliance with policies ensuring that front line units meet required standards.
• Interacting with relevant teams to raise awareness of Sanctions trends, emerging issues, remedial actions or enhancements to the program.
• Supporting efforts in connection Internal Audit and functional regulators in Program exams and evaluations; tracks and challenges remedial actions from the front line units.
• Drafting and editing sanctions-related reference materials; support the various electronic record-keeping logs for sanctions licenses, voluntary disclosures; subpoenas etc.; participate in sanctions training programs.
• Additional duties as assigned.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• Preferably expertise of AML and Sanctions regulations, risks and typologies
• Knowledge of Compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks and typologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be a self-starter, flexible, innovative and adaptive
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively and with people at all levels of the organization
• Work collaboratively with regional and global partners in other functional units; ability to navigate a complex organization
• Excellent project management and organizational skills and capability to handle multiple projects at one time
• Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Knowledge in area of focus

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree; experience in compliance, legal or other control-related function in the financial services firm, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm, or a combination thereof; experience in area of focus; Advanced degree preferred

Additional responsibilities and requirements include:

• Monitoring and analysing regulatory developments and assessing their impact on the business.
• Assisting in the development, enhancement and implementation of compliance frameworks policies and procedures.
• Managing and prioritising multiple concurrent tasks ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality or accuracy.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of compliance decisions risk assessment and advisory activities.
• Experience performing investigations of potential breaches of policy/regulation is desirable.
• Proven ability to understand complex business systems, processes and products.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and delivering a fast-paced dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of compliance tools and systems for example transaction monitoring and regulatory reporting tools.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, delivers clear messaging in a constructive manner and ensures messaging is understood.
• A strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance frameworks is required, and a good understanding of contemporary UK Sanctions regulation is recommendable.
• Proven track record in managing stakeholder relationships across various departments and liaising with regulators and Sanctions enforcement bodies is also desirable.

The Reporting & Consolidation Manager will be an experienced professional, with oversight over reporting, system maintenance, and scheduling-related changes.

What you’ll do

• Support definition and integration of scheduling processes across Internal Audit
• Partner with IA stakeholders across Digital Solutions, Methodology and Planning to assess impact of any changes to scheduling
• Engage with third party scheduling tool vendor and Citi technology to investigate and resolve system issues
• Provide day-to-day oversight for the creation of scheduling-related reports/analysis that embeds/supports an informed scheduling culture within Internal Audit.
• Consolidate department-level scheduling/timesheet data and effectively communicate drivers of trends/analytics across key IA stakeholders.
• Partner with relevant teams to develop and deliver automated reporting
• Provide day-to-day oversight for the maintenance of the scheduling tool, including but not limited to configurations, bulk data imports, mapping tables.
• Ensure workflows, processes, and data within the scheduling system are accurate and current.
• Lead change management efforts, collaborating effectively to ensure both proactive and upstream changes are managed appropriately.
• Ensure relevant controls are in place while adhering to applicable data quality standards.
• Proactively identify and embrace continuous improvement opportunities as it relates to relevant processes and reporting.
• Support efforts that rely on scheduling data, e.g., demand-capacity work.

What we’ll need from you

• Previous experience in a related role or experience in business, human capital, and resource management; other related areas include Financial Planning & Analysis and Business Planning and Analytics.
• Analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively to find strategic solutions or troubleshoot problems.
• High level of proficiency with the MS Office Suite
• Experience creating visual representations of data through Tableau preferred
• Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with a proven ability to operate in a manually intensive data environment, extracting large volumes of data from disparate sources, cleansing, and validating it, and transforming it into high quality, insightful reporting.
• Ability to work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Intellectually curious, consistently evaluating “what is the data telling me?” and “why does it matter?"
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate analytics requirements and results and make practical recommendations for analytics enhancements.
• Proven ability to develop ideas from concept to an executable plan.
