Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
- Architect flex-grid long-haul line systems, considering transmission characteristics of fiber and line system elements, including signal power/OSNR evolution and fiber nonlinearities.
- Collaborate on the architecture, design, and validation of distributed, link-level optical line system control systems in close cooperation with software development and test teams.
- Work in a co-development model with key Hyperscaler to design future systems.
- Work closely with the test team to validate and simplify solutions.
- Create comprehensive documentation to ensure use cases are clear.
- Drive the overall strategy and vision for your team's contributions to the AI infrastructure space.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on large-scale systems.
- Hands-on experience with DWDM transmission systems, including coherent transponders, EDFAs, Raman amplifiers, and ROADMs is desirable
- Understanding of HW architecture and SW architecture for optical line systems
- Strong programming skills in languages such as C, Java, Python, C++, or similar.
- Experience of working with cross functional teams viz PLM, HW team, Algorithm team, FPGA vendor, optical component vendor to drive architecture for new DWDM based system.
- Hands on experience of design and implementation of optical applications viz span loss, automatic power control, raman amplifier tuning, link tuner
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience of implementing northbound interface towards NMS / controller based on Netconf, Yang, GNOI, gNMI, telemetry
- Proven experience in leading technical projects and teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Experience with cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and agile methodologies is a plus.
- Experience with test-driven development is desirable.

- Support the creation and maintenance of high-performance systems capable of handling Big Data and help building infrastructure for large-scale data processing and Machine Learning computations.
- Help creating resilient and scalable infrastructure for target applications under the guidance of experienced engineers.
- Learn and support the use of AWS services like Redshift, RDS, ECS, SQS, SNS, and S3 for data processing and transformation.
- Help monitoring the application health and status to ensure stability and high availability.
- Collaborate with engineers on code reviews, progress updates, and system requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Currently studying towards a degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Kotlin.
- Basic working knowledge of linux systems
- Knowledge of network configuration and support from academic projects or labs
- Fluent English
Preferred Requirements-
The below requirements are not mandatory.
- Experience delivering a SaaS-based software product.
- Experience with project tracking, version control and continuous integration tools (e.g., Jira, Git, Jenkins, TeamCity, GitHub actions).
- Experience with application performance monitoring & error tracking solutions.
- Experience testing software code (writing automated unit tests, automating end-to-end tests).
- Understanding of cloud systems (preferably AWS).
- Strong verbal and written communication and advocacy skills, with the ability to express complex/technical issues in clear concise terms.
- Willingness to work across teams and share knowledge and ideas.
- Teamwork spirit and enthusiasm for working on complex cutting-edge systems.
- Proactive attitude with a willingness to take initiative and complete tasks.
- Understanding of at least one cloud automation technology (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Formation).

This project focuses on understanding and normalizing command lines leading to cybersecurity events. Command lines often contain specific parameters like usernames, hashes, or random strings that obscure their functionality. Removing or masking these values can help uncover similar patterns across different devices or environments, providing robust similarity measures between cybersecurity events.

Possible Projects you could work on:
Similarity Search on Sequence of Endpoint Security Events– Each monitored device in a computer network outputs streams of cybersecurity events. This project focuses on finding common patterns in these streams to identify similarly behaving devices using similarity search techniques. The data stream is segmented into sequences of related events, which are then represented in an embedding space to identify similar sequences.

– Cybersecurity investigations often rely on relationships between entities like IP addresses, URLs, email addresses, documents, binaries, and internet users. This project examines how to use these relationships for automated threat identification or to support human analysts, like how police use notice boards with photos and wires. The primary focus is on expressing relationship data as massive graphs, with additional interest in incorporating tabular, language, and unstructured data.
What you’ll do:
- Assist in inventing, designing, developing, and evaluating innovative models on large-scale data.
- Support the design and implementation of scalable, efficient, automated Machine Learning pipelines.
- Contribute to innovation projects from idea to implementation under guidance.
- Collaborate closely with software engineering teams and customers to understand project requirements.
- Be eager to learn about cybersecurity data analytics and related tools.
- Help communicate results through internal reports, blogs, and assist in preparing for scientific papers and conference presentations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine learning, or a related field
- Proficient in English
Preferred Requirements:
- Basic understanding or coursework in software engineering is a plus.
- Experience with coursework in one or more of the following Machine Learning fields: supervised, semi-supervised, or unsupervised learning, explainability of models, advanced statistics, graph theory, game theory.
- Strong logical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Enthusiasm for completing tasks and making projects successful.
