As a Software Engineer on the Platform Development team you will be part of world-class software engineering team that works on various cutting edge technologies in switching. • Participate on a project team of engineers involved in the development of software for our next generation Campus switching architectures. Define, Architect, design, and deliver new software and features for the Campus switching platforms
• Day to day activities will involve creating new features, understanding features in a competitive product and proposing solutions that work for our platform, writing functional and design specifications, programming, unit and integration testing your code, helping review specifications and code for other software engineers in the team, helping documentation team with the configuration aspects of your feature.

Minimum Qualifications:

• MSEE/CS combined with 3-4 years of related experience or BSEE/CS combined with 5+ years of experience
• Experience in writing software in C/ C++.
• Excellent Layer 2 and Layer 3 knowledge/ hands-on experience. Good understanding of various networking protocols and standards.
• Strong passion and experience in troubleshooting, debugging complex systems and possess excellent problem-solving techniques
• Execute tests, track and log issues and drive them till resolution with verification of bug fixes

• Knowledge of scripting in Python
• Knowledge of Device Drivers, Linux OS, and embedded systems
• Must be able to handle multiple tasks at once and work independently with minimal managerial oversight.

• Lead end-to-end automation scripts for testing various Layer 3 forwarding chains using microservices and Jenkins infrastructure
• Collaborate closely with the software development team to create, troubleshoot, and maintain robust automation scripts.
• Configure and troubleshoot complex networking protocols, including MPLS, OSPF, BGP, and Segment Routing.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM with 5 or 3 years of experience, respectively.
• Experience with Python , TypeScript , JavaScript , and Bash .
• Experienced in working with networking technologies and implementing RFC standards.
• Experience with version control systems ( Git ), automation frameworks, and DevOps pipelines.

• Familiarity with traffic generators like IXIA , Spirent , and debugging tools like Postman , GDB .
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools like Cafy , Jira and FireX .

• Bachelor's in a STEM field with 3 years of experience, or a Master's with 1 years
• Experience in C/C++/python programming
• Experience in data structures, multithread programming, and OS fundamentals (Linux)

• Experience with the complete software development cycle, including automation
• Experience in API programming, routing, gRPC-based services, network programming (TCP/IP), or prior development experience with Cisco products.

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM with 12+ years of relevant experience or Master’s in STEM with 7+ years of relevant experience or PhD in STEM with 4+ years of relevant experience
• 5+ years of programming experience using Python
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience working with Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking technologies, with a focus on troubleshooting, configuration, and optimization as well as experience with networking protocols such as VXLAN and VLAN, OSPF or BGP
• Experience managing test automation infrastructure and test automation sanity suites as well as debugging and root cause analysis
