ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Clinical Specialist Urology, you will provide clinical and technical support for a range of Urology products. This support is required during Urological Laser cases (Lithotripsy for stone management; PVP (Greenlight Laser) and HoLEP for treatment of benign prostate enlargement) and Water Vapour Therapy for benign prostate enlargement. Support also includes technical trouble-shooting and other general assistance to the sales team & their customers.

This role is a 6-month Fixed Term Contract with travel as required to regional centres in QLD, along with interstate travel for training and occasional case support if needed.

The Clinical Specialist Urology will report to the Regional Sales Manager, Urology.

WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

• Provide superior day-to-day field clinical support to medical staff including Urologists, Nurses and Allied Health Teams to ensure safe and efficient utilization of our products.
• Build strong relationships with existing customers to understand their needs as well as identify potential new business opportunities in the assigned state.
• Successfully complete formal Urology training program, apply these skills in the field and maintain high level of technical and market knowledge on an ongoing basis.
• Understand and identify your customer needs in your state including practices and policies as well as identifying any competitor activities.
• Work with the broader Urology team to identify training, research and engagement opportunities for new and existing customers.
• Completion of relevant administration including reporting, stock validations and management as well as database management and latitude remote monitoring support.
• Attend meetings, conferences and exhibitions as required to promote Boston Scientific products and services.
• Complete market analysis and regular reporting as required.
• To be available to support the broader ANZ Urology business on an as-needs basis
• Maintain all company assets, including assigned inventory, in good order and in accordance with BSC audit and process requirements.

Product/Technical Knowledge

• Successfully completes all relevant Urology training.
• Develop in depth knowledge of Urology devices and treatment applications.
• Proactively keeps up to date with technical knowledge in Urology and procedures.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous clinical case experience within Urology is preferred.

• Excellent written & verbal communication.
• Tertiary qualifications in preferred disciplines including biomedical engineering and science-related disciplines.
• Ability to travel locally, interstate and internationally.
