Responsibilities:

  • Manages a desk covering client orders on listed and National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations securities and promotes sales trading activities to a set of clients.
  • Manages riskless principal trading books while ensuring compliant with guidelines/regulations and managing risk.
  • Coordinates with institutional clients to identify purchase and sale opportunities by staying current on market conditions, regulations, and subject-matter expertise of the firm's products.
  • Responds to salesforce requests to identify buyers/sellers for a security.
  • Develops relationships with clients through trading and execution services by delivering, timely and accurate outcomes.
  • Assists in cross-selling activities by coordinating efforts between various coverage points and identifying gaps • Provides guidance to more junior associates.

Responsibilities

This is a full-time equity research associate in Equity Research team for the semiconductor and tech sector based in Taiwan. The individual will work on a team with a Senior Analyst responsible for all aspects of the research process from idea generation to client communications, including but not limited to the following:

  • Perform complex financial modeling & valuation work.
  • Write regular industry and company reports and company initiations from scratch.
  • Develop and maintain databases integral to our research product.
  • Develop strong industry knowledge and business judgment.
  • Work with Senior Analyst to explore key industry themes.
  • Participate and contribute to client meetings and events.
  • Follow and understand market, industry and company specific activity, and relay to analyst.
  • Interact regularly with clients, both internal and external.
  • Seek out new, value-added, and/or unusual sources of information.

Requirements

  • Strong motivation to learn and succeed in the equity research industry.
  • Strong work ethics and a positive attitude at work.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple work requests.
  • Strong modelling and database skills are essential.
  • Good team player with strong communication skill and detail-oriented personality.
  • A solid understanding of equity research, valuation and financial markets, plus a proven track record of high-quality analytical research, written product and strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to write high quality, evidence-based projects or reports.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degrees in business related preferred.
  • More than 1-3 years working experience in a relevant analytical/financial markets role preferred.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required.

The Role

Join as a member of a high performing sales and coverage team providing transaction banking solutions to the bank’s Global Financial Institutions Group (FIG). This specialized client group will require a high level of management and expertise to ensure responsible growth across the portfolio.

The role as a Vice President (VP) / Treasury Sales Officer (TSO) based in Taiwan, will require you to maintain a strong client focus and the ability to build a strong internal network across the regional and global bank network. The role will also require building a working partnership with one or more Treasury Sales Officers/Managers in Taiwan to support the growth of the assigned portfolio, as well as the growth of the broader team portfolio.

As a successful TSO you will be required to manage multiple competing priorities with an understanding of the bank, the operational aspects of the products and services, and the key risks to the institution.

The VP / TSO will:

  • Build out the identified client portfolio in line with the bank’s strategy
  • Manage and grow revenues from existing clients
  • Partner closely with Corporate Bankers, Regional and Global GPS Colleagues and other business partners (as appropriate) to consult on sales opportunities and provide the product expertise and consultation necessary to deliver the best possible Treasury and Trade solutions to the client in-country or regionally.
  • Pitch alongside with Corporate Bankers’ as specialist on treasury, trade and liquidity products.
  • Identify client’s needs and work closely with internal partners (Product Management, Client Delivery, Services and Operations) to structure adequate solutions
  • Manage and support RFP processes as relates to specialist products (Deal Review, Pricing, RFP response coordination).
  • Ensure timely resolution of GPS relationship sensitive client servicing issues within the organization
