As a customer engineer at Applied Materials you’ll be working for a high growth international company, integrating into the heart of the manufacturing process of advanced digital devices. You’ll get the opportunity and practice to work on the most advanced semiconductor equipment while learning new skills or perfecting existing ones such as advanced trouble shooting and problem solving, project management, robotics, semiconductor device manufacturing processes and more. In addition, you’ll get advanced training on cutting edge hardware industry components.
This is aphysically demanding positionthat often requires extensive walking, standing for extended periods of time, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting up to 35 lbs., the ability to distinguish between colors, the ability to work in an environment with noise that may be difficult for some individuals with sensitivity to noise, and the use of hand and power tools.
Additionally, because this position generally involves working in a
clean room,it requires the use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields.

The Instrumentation & Control department is part of AMIL facilities organization, responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of Building Management Systems (BMS) and other I&C systems that support critical infrastructure and operations.
As a Control and Automation Engineer, you will play a central role in shaping and supporting the automation infrastructure of our facility.
You will be responsible for developing, updating and maintaining control software and HMI systems, integrating PLCs, and optimizing BMS.
You will collaborate across disciplines to solve complex technical challenges, contribute to energy efficiency initiatives, and drive improvements in system reliability and performance.

System Integration Engineers work with multi-disciplinary system involving different modules and disciplines, such as EBeam (Electron-beam Microscopy), high-end optics, lasers, precise mechanics, RF, motion and control etc.
Hence, this position requires high system understanding ,deep engineering knowledgeand high accountability level.

Your Responsibilities

Looking For
BSc in Physics or Engineering; MSc or PhD is a plus.
+ years of experienceassystemsengineer indeveloping multidisciplinary systems.
Background in electro-optics, mechatronics, or signal/image processing.
Experience in system or application engineering for PDC systems – an advantage.
Semiconductor industry experience – an advantage.
in Python or MATLAB – an advantage.
Demonstrated ability to learn independently, apply analytical thinking, and integrate knowledge across disciplines.
Strong collaboration and leadership skills.
