Description
• Own the secure clinical data platform for all of Biophotonics’ studies • Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain data pipelines and data processing tools • Work with other Apple teams to understand and implement data governance policies • Collaborate to develop and maintain study monitoring and analysis tools • Develop requirements in conjunction with analysts, SW engineers and other stakeholders • Support clinical studies with a range of sizes and complexities • Detect inefficiencies; optimize processes and data flows • Write and maintain unit tests and CI to maintain high data integrity and consistency
Minimum Qualifications
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience in data engineering
  • Experience programming in Python
  • SQL experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years experience in data engineering on AWS or GCP platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to perform independent and high quality data engineering with >100 TB of data
  • Excellent communicator/facilitator within and between groups
  • Experience working with clinical or human study data
  • Experience processing and analyzing data in Matlab
  • Familiarity with one or more of: Medrio EDC, Hadoop, Spark, Docker, Artifactory, AirFlow
  • Familiarity with signal processing
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
