An Omniverse Technical Program Manager (TPM) aligns, drives, and tracks engineering programs and projects to improve product quality, product execution efficiency and cross-org communication. The TPM works closely with partners, Product Mgrs.; Product Program Mgrs.; and Engineering Leads, to align product quality, product execution priority, and change management. They drive planning activities to determine scope, effort, resource requirements and task breakdown for each feature, engineering component and deliverable. They confirm, document and track ‘done’ criteria for each program task; recommend adjustments or solutions to success blockers; perform risk assessment and increase to partners for risk mitigation support. Further, the TPM should recommend and implement new or changed processes aligned with company goals, quality improvement, and development cost efficiency that result in improved customer satisfaction and expanded uses of our products.
What you'll be doing:
Drive new products and features through the development process, acting as a bridge/facilitator between Product Mgmt, Product Program Mgmt, and Engineering teams.
Map product requirements, PORs (Plan of Record) and roadmaps to documented and useful engineering programs, projects, and tasks.
Organize engineering execution through sprints and/or target release date management, define ‘done’ for those tasks and track them to completion.
Communicate project status and highlight "wins" and "blockers" to partners and org members via “Top 5 Things” and customer review meetings.
Ensure managed programs & projects meet deadlines and are completed within budget or create and implement approved mitigation plans.
Apply technical skills, strengths, industry, and product knowledge to improve efficiency, quality, and overall customer outcomes.
What we need to see:
Expertise in Cloud Computing: Proficient knowledge of cloud services and cloud application architectures. Experience of successfully shipping products on major cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is essential.
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
8+ years experience in a similar or related role.
Technical Background: A strong technical background in software development, including an understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC), agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
Program Management Skills: Proven experience in managing multiple projects and multi-functional teams, from the initiation phase to closure, ensuring that projects are completed on time. A high level of proficiency in JIRA is required.
Communication: Strong communication skills to effectively manage teams, liaise with partners, and articulate project and sprint goals, requirements, and risks.
Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and address technical and organizational challenges. Ability to analyze complex situations and implement appropriate solutions effectively.
