Your Impact
As a Cisco Wi-Fi Consulting Engineer, you will play a key role in changing and optimizing wireless network architectures for our customers.
You will be a consultant with a deep expertise in Wireless LAN (WLAN) technologies, and enterprise-grade Access Points (APs),
Your responsibilities will include crafting high- and low-level designs (HLD/LLD), acceptance test plans (ATP), and offering technical expertise on Wi-Fi security on outstanding practices, such as: WPA2/WPA3 protocols, 802.1X authentication, and RADIUS integration.
You will conduct network assessments, identify RF interference sources, recommend improvements, and deliver documentation and training.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Shown 8+ years of experience as a Network Consulting Engineer, specializing in WLAN design, deployment, and trouble-shooting.
- Deep insightof networking protocols, software-defined networks, Wi-Fi standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax) and RF essentials.
- Practical experience with Wireless LAN Controllers (Cisco, etc.), enterprise Access Points, and RF site survey tools (e.g., Ekahau, AirMagnet, or similar).
- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS) and familiarity with Cisco Catalyst Center Wireless Assurance for network optimization.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent communication both verbal and written, with the ability to convey involved technical information to non-technical interested parties.
- Ability to provide high-level crisis management through anticipation of issues, problems or events and actively resolving them with the Customer and Partners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to resolve technical problems.
- Ability to multi-task and self-start in a fast-paced team-based atmosphere and work independently, if requested.
- Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNP Enterprise, CCIE Enterprise) are highly recommended.
