Your responsibilities will include:- Designing and building the next-generation technologies that will make EMR the best environment to run large-scale data processing workloads.
- Translation of complex functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design.
- Work on internals of large-scale, highly parallel and fault-tolerant data processing engines like Hadoop, YARN and Flink.
- Solve challenging problems in query optimization, vectorized execution engine, resource management, transactions, security, governance, data access control, indexes, encoding, etc.
- Own the software development process end-to-end, i.e working with engineers and product managers to develop requirements; designing, architecting, planning, implementing, and testing new systems and features; deploying, and operating the production EMR systems.About the team

- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience in distributed systems design, implementation and testing
- Experience in database internals such as query optimization or query execution
- Hands-on experience in big data processing and infrastructure frameworks like Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Trino, Tez, HBase, Docker, Kubernetes is a big plus
