Duties: Responsible for assessing line-of-business credit processes for conformance to policies, standards, and procedures. Deliver analytic initiatives to address business problems by identifying required data, assessing time and effort required to establish a project plan, and leading the system change process from requirements gathering through implementation. Conduct internal testing of dispute processes to ensure control and provide user and operational support of applications. Verify established standards and processes are followed and consistently applied, and identify operational weaknesses and risks associated with function, training needs, and process deficiencies. Assist in the development and implementation of guidance and tools that form the basis for rigorous, comprehensive In-Business Quality Assurance (“IBQA”) processes including the establishment of performance metrics to contribute to the buildout of a best-in class IBQA function. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Business, or a related field, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered, or in a related occupation in the financial services industry. Five (5) years of experience must include: Working with credit processes and procedures including completeness of critical steps, information and processes related to drafting credit approval requests, performing enhanced credit and collateral analysis, assessing classification, proposing risk ratings, and ensuring accuracy of data inputs; Documenting underwriting exceptions to identify operational weaknesses, risks associated with specific areas, training needs, and process deficiencies and evaluating consistency of processes and procedures within the United States and Mexico; Working with financial products and services including credit facilities, FX derivatives, and commodity and treasury products offered in the United States and Mexico to determine if established Global Standards and Procedures are followed and consistently applied across the first line of defense; Working with economic industries including Digital, Technology and Communications, Business and Professional Services, Industrial, Healthcare, Consumer Products and Retail, Energy and Clean Energy Transmission, or Non-Bank Financial Institutions in the United Sates and Mexico to ensure credit processes or transactions are performed according to customer requirements; Identifying line of defense organizational units responsible for processes and for execution of respective activities to identify gaps; and Evaluating business process controls to assess and strengthen internal controls and improve and protect business performance. 40 hrs./wk.
